ICDP Peru was
registered in 2009. Two trainers were formed, Ana Sofia Mazzini and
Honorata Herrera who implemented ICDP with two groups of parents with
very good results.
They also trained
a group of nurses at the Essalud hospital in Lima, so that they could
incorporate ICDP in their work with expectant mothers.
Contact was made
with UNICEF Peru who showed interest to support the development of ICDP
training programs in the future. There were initial meetings with the
Wawawasi network together with UNICEF representatives (photo below). A
tentative plan for cooperation has been established.
