The ICDP training workshops
are at 2 different levels, Facilitator and Trainer level.
ICDP workshops are best
held for no more than 25 participants/trainees. Between the training
workshops trainees need to carry out practical tasks as part of
their training.
The 2 levels in training
are linked: the first level of training leads to accreditation as
ICDP Facilitator and the second level of training (Trainer level),
builds further on the first level experience for those who wish
to continue to become ICDP trainers.
An ICDP Facilitator has
the competence to implement the ICDP programme with caregivers.
A Facilitator can be further trained to the level of ICDP Trainer.
ICDP Trainer has the
competence to train new facilitators, and to supervise and support
the facilitators' work with caregivers.
