ICDP TRAINING

Variations in Training                                                            previous   continue (page 4 of 12)

In some countries ICDP has adapted the basic training format in line with the educational and cultural context. For example, in Latin America and Africa, the basic training has been modified to include 3 levels in training, rather than 2.

In addition, there may be distinctions between local, regional and national trainers.

Beyond ICDP trainers whose work takes place on national levels, there are ICDP International consultants. They represent a small group of experts linked to the ICDP International board whose mandate is to travel to new countries to form local teams of trainers and facilitators.

Setting up an ICDP Organization in a Country

When there is a need for it, an ICDP country organization may be formed. The country organization works on creating legal and practical sustainability of the ICDP work and it coordinates the developments of ICDP in a country. A close link between the ICDP country organization and ICDP international is naturally maintained via ICDP international consultants who had initiated the training in that country.
